Lifesaving funds raised by the Lowfield Inn

A Marton inn is helping to fund lifesaving helicopter missions across Wales by raising donations for Wales Air Ambulance.

The Lowfield Inn raised over £300 for the Welsh helicopter charity by hosting a fun day in aid of the charity, and staff kindly donated £100 for their tips to the bucket collection.

Wales Air Ambulance needs to raise £6.5 million every year to keep its four helicopters flying across Wales, with each of its missions funded by kind donations and support.

The fun day raised a total of £333.80 for Wales Air Ambulance, helping the charity to fly to the aid of the people of Wales in their hour of need.

In August Kate Hobson from the Lowfield Inn visited the WAA at their airbase in Welshpool, presenting their donation to the crew in front of the charity’s mid-Wales aircraft.

Helen Thomas, Wales Air Ambulance Community Support Coordinator for North Powys, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the Lowfield Inn for their support.

“Their donation will help us to fly the A&E department to the patient, and without support like theirs we wouldn’t be able to complete our missions across Wales.

“They will also be holding another event to raise more funds for WAA on August 27, and their continued support will help to save lives across the country.”
