Working for us

Wales Air Ambulance is the all-Wales charity that provides vital air cover for time critical illness or injury. We’re on standby every single day of the year, ready to help anyone in Wales during their most difficult hour of need.

We also operate the Children's Wales Air Ambulance, providing specialist treatment and airlifting some of Wales’ youngest patients.

The charity relies entirely on donations to raise £6.5 million every year, to keep our helicopters flying. Fundraising and generating awareness within Wales’ diverse communities is a vital part of reaching that goal. We also run 18 shops and a cafe, which provide essential income to keep the charity’s helicopters in the air and saving lives.

Community Fundraising Manager (Welshpool)

Full time (37 hours per week). £25,000 per annum.

Do you have sales management or fundraising experience? Do you love working with people and want to use your skills to help save lives across Wales? 

This is an exciting opportunity for a new role within Wales Air Ambulance, managing a small team to help develop, implement and monitor our community fundraising strategy.

A key part of the management team, you will help promote the charity, its vision and its values to potential and current supporters, raising the profile of Wales Air Ambulance and the vital funds needed to keep us flying.

You are confident in a wide range of professional and social environments, and have proven experience in fundraising and/or a sales and marketing environment.

As a national, Welsh charity, we're looking for the right person for the job - wherever you are. We would like to receive applications from the Llanelli, Cardiff or Welshpool areas.

Driver (Wrexham)

Wrexham. Part time (22.5 hours per week). £8 per hour.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of our retail division at the Wales Air Ambulance Charity.

We run 18 shops across Wales, which provide essential income to keep the charity’s helicopters in the air and saving lives.

You will be responsible for providing effective support for the Transport and Warehouse Manager, and for the wider retail team.

This includes moving stock around shops and working on our van fleet to collect and deliver goods.

Your experience, energy and enthusiasm will ensure the charity’s brand is correctly and positively represented while engaging with customers in our shops and on the road.

With a strong ability to work as a team, understand health and safety and uphold excellent customer service, you enjoy and are confident working in a wide range of professional and social environments.

This role requires the lifting and handling of heavy items, and a minimum of two years’ transport and distribution experience.
