Volunteers are crucial for our mission of continuing to provide an air ambulance service for the people of Wales. As a volunteer, you will be a pivotal part of helping to save lives and can get involved in many different ways.

Volunteer at your local shop or café

You can do all aspects of retail from stockroom to sales floor, operating the tills, merchandising, stock sorting, pricing, valuations and support to staff.

If you want to see where it all starts, we have volunteer opportunities in our goods warehouse and on the road with our collection and delivery team.

Wales Air Ambulance also runs cafés in North Wales, providing a new and exciting source of income for the charity.

Fundraising and events

Fundraising is an exciting and fun way to get involved as a volunteer. People support us in spectacularly diverse ways and volunteers can help by representing Wales Air Ambulance at a variety of independent or charity-organised events.

Opportunities include talks, cheque presentations, helping on stalls and bucket collections. The possibilities are endless!

Charity offices

We have bustling teams based in Swansea, Wrexham and Caernarfon. From these offices, Wales Air Ambulance comes into fruition. Volunteers can be a part of this team, helping with fundraising and administration duties.

Media 

Choose from a host of ways to help Wales Air Ambulance as a media volunteer. Do you have skills as a photographer, cameraperson, web/graphic designer or writer? This is an ideal opportunity for media professionals and aspiring students looking to support a charity, develop skills and spruce up CVs.

Or do you have a story to tell? Wales Air Ambulance is also looking for former patients willing to help awareness as a media volunteer by sharing their experiences.
